These terms govern your booking of a retreat with Kairos Retreats, operated by The Sacred Space, Lefkada Town, 31100, Lefkada, Greece ("Kairos", "we", "us"). By paying a deposit or the full retreat fee, you ("the guest", "you") confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms. If you are booking on behalf of another person, you are responsible for ensuring they have read and accept these terms.
A booking is confirmed once we receive your deposit and send you a written confirmation. A deposit of €500 per person secures your place. The remaining balance is due no later than 6 weeks before the retreat start date. If a booking is made within 6 weeks of the retreat, the full amount is payable at the time of booking.
Payments are made securely via our payment provider (Stripe). Prices are quoted in euros (€) and are per person unless otherwise stated. Your place is not guaranteed until payment is received and confirmed by us. If the balance is not paid by the due date, we reserve the right to treat the booking as cancelled and to apply the cancellation terms below.
Your retreat fee includes accommodation for the nights stated in your booking, the group programme (such as yoga, breathwork and rest sessions as scheduled), and the meals and refreshments described for your retreat. The exact inclusions are those set out on our website and in your booking confirmation for the specific retreat and room type you have chosen.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, the fee does not include: travel to and from Lefkada (flights, ferries, transfers), travel insurance, personal expenses, additional treatments or excursions not listed in the programme, alcoholic drinks, visas where applicable, or anything of a personal nature. You are responsible for arranging and paying for your own travel and insurance.
Our retreats involve physical activity including yoga, breathwork, movement and time in a natural coastal environment. Participation is entirely at your own discretion and risk. By booking you confirm that you are in a suitable state of physical and mental health to take part, and that you will not undertake any activity beyond your own capabilities.
You agree to inform us in writing, before the retreat, of any medical condition, injury, allergy, dietary requirement, pregnancy, or medication that may affect your participation or that we should reasonably be aware of. Kairos is not a medical or therapeutic provider and our sessions are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological or dietary advice. If you have any doubt about your ability to participate safely, please consult your doctor before booking. You remain responsible for your own wellbeing and for following the reasonable guidance of our facilitators during the retreat.
We strongly recommend that every guest holds comprehensive travel insurance covering, as a minimum, medical expenses, cancellation and curtailment, and personal belongings, valid for the full duration of your travel and stay. We are not responsible for any loss you incur that adequate travel insurance would have covered.
If you need to cancel your booking, the following applies to the amounts you have paid:
All cancellations must be made in writing to hello@kairoslefkada.com and take effect on the date we receive them. We recommend travel insurance that covers cancellation for complete peace of mind.
Occasionally we may need to make changes to a retreat — for example to the villa, facilitators, schedule or activities. We will always aim to provide an equivalent or better experience and will notify you of any significant change as soon as reasonably possible.
In the unlikely event that we have to cancel a retreat entirely, we will offer you the choice of a transfer to another retreat date or a full refund of all monies paid to us for that retreat. Our liability in these circumstances is limited to the amounts you have paid to us, and we will not be responsible for other costs you may have incurred, such as flights, transfers or insurance — which is why we recommend booking flexible or insured travel.
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where this is caused by events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, natural disaster, fire, epidemic or pandemic, government action or travel restrictions, strikes, or acts of terrorism. Where such an event affects a retreat, we will act reasonably and, where possible, offer a transfer or credit.
Our retreats are shared spaces built on respect, safety and calm. We ask all guests to behave considerately towards others, our team, the property and the local community. We reserve the right to ask any guest to leave a retreat, without refund, whose behaviour we reasonably consider to be dangerous, disruptive, or seriously detrimental to the wellbeing or enjoyment of others. You are responsible for any damage you cause to the accommodation or its contents.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kairos and The Sacred Space accept no liability for loss, injury, illness, or damage to persons or property arising during or in connection with a retreat, except where such loss is caused by our own negligence. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Our total liability to you in connection with a booking will not exceed the total amount you have paid to us for that booking.
From time to time we may take photographs or video during a retreat for our own promotional use. We will always ask for your consent before using any image in which you are personally identifiable. You may decline at any time by letting a member of our team know.
We handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Greece, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Greek courts. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full effect.
